Expectations vs. Reality

“Don’t blame people for disappointing you, blame your expectations.”

We often expect something or someone to be so magical and perfect just like a hair flip on point. But, reality strikes like a ferocious wave of anger killing all those expectations.

Consider this scenario where you’re so excited to meet someone imagining them to be humble, polite and not so basic. In the end, they turn out to be the most arrogant and self-conceited person.

Or maybe another scenario, where we expect a party or a gathering to be sociable and friendly.
“Okay, it won’t be that bad. Just be friendly and polite and make some new friends.”

Hah. In your dreams. Turns out the party was a total disaster. Fancy people, fancy food and self-obsession at its highest. Oh, and, let’s not forget that one annoying person who tries to pry and get hold of your entire life history. *rolls eyes* 😐

Conclusion:
Limit your expectations so that you don’t end up getting disappointed at the outcome.

Anyway, if you have ever experienced something like this before, please let me know in the comments section below! 🙂
