I recently purchased a few shades from the Revlon Matte Lipstick collection. Let me start off by saying that these are one of the best liquid matte lipsticks available in the market!
- Beautiful shades for every occasion: They have about 16 shades ranging from nudes to pinks and reds. If you’re looking for the perfect shade to match your style, have a look at their website. It might help! 🙂
- Long lasting: I promise you that this lipstick will not wear off that easily unless you rub it off your lips. I wore it to a day-long event last week and I was surprised at how the lipstick stayed intact.
- Moisturising: It’s amazing how this lipstick gives you a matte look but still keeps your lips from becoming too dry.
- High-definition: It gives your lips a very defined and sharp look.
One of my favorite shades is ‘Passion’. It’s a beautiful berry color that looks good with almost every outfit!
I hope you enjoyed reading this review! 🙂

A skin type is determined by the overall texture and appearance of one’s skin. There are different types of skin and one of the main reasons you should know your skin type is because it will help you choose the right products for your skin. Here are some of the common skin types:
This type of skin isn’t too oily nor too dry and is not very sensitive. In this case, you have barely visible pores, fairly smooth and glowing skin. For this type of skin, you can use products that are labelled ‘For all types of skin’.
This type of skin tends to become oily and greasy, especially around your nose, cheeks, and forehead. Your face tends to produce more oil than necessary which can produce more blackheads and pimples. For this type of skin, it’s best to use products that have an oil eliminating and cleansing property.
In this case, your skin tends to dry up very quickly and doesn’t maintain the necessary amount of oil which tends to make your skin rough and dull. Your skin also tends to become flaky and itchy from time to time. For this type of skin, it’s best to use products that have a moisturizing property.
If your skin is prone to allergies, acne, and other rashes, then you’ve got a sensitive skin. You have to be extremely careful of the products you use or else there may be negative effects. For this type of skin, it’s best to stick to natural and organic products because they contain less chemicals.
If you have a mix of oily and normal skin types, then you’ve got a combination skin. Your T-zone (Forehead, nose, and chin) tends to produce more oil than the rest of your face which makes your face look shiny. Since I have this type of skin, I’ve realized that it’s best to use products that are specially designed for combination skin, especially when it comes to cleansers and toners.

I recently tried out Ultra Doux’s Mythic Olive Hair Care Range, and I was very happy with the results. All the products in this range have one key ingredient that is super beneficial for hair nutrition and growth and that is, olive oil! Plus, the fragrance is amazing. ❤
- Mythic Olive Shampoo:
The shampoo works wonders for those who have problems with weighed down hair. This shampoo will help you clean your hair without making it greasy. Plus, it gives your hair a beautiful shine.
- Mythic Olive Conditioner:
The conditioner helps repair and nourish your hair. After completing my hair wash routine, I noticed that my hair was softer than usual.
- Mythic Olive Intense Hair Mask:
The creamy texture of this mask works wonders, seriously! I would recommend you to use the hair mask instead of the conditioner if you have dry hair because it restores the shine of your hair and softens it.
- Mythic Olive Care Cream:
I, personally, have not used this cream. However, I’ve heard that it’s good for when you want to use any heated instruments on your hair.
I hope you found this post useful!

Perfect that hair flip!
Do you straighten or curl your hair often?
Then, you should probably apply some hair serum to protect your hair from further damage. Also, it is advisable to apply a drop of hair serum after you wash your hair.
Hair serums are not only protective but also give your hair a beautiful shine! ❤
Some of my favorite hair serums are:
- Kerastase Nutritive Hair Serum:
The best thing about this serum is that it isn’t too oily and has an anti-frizz property. For those who face constant hair tangling, appying this serum will ease out all the hair knots and keep your hair tangle-free and frizz-free.
- Ultra Doux Honey Treasures Hair Serum:
I would highly recommend this serum for everyday use. It gives your hair a soft and natural look. Plus, it smells so good!
- Avon Moroccan Argan Oil Hair Serum:
This serum has one of the best ingredients for instant hair shine, which is Argan Oil. If you live in a dry or humid place, then you should try this serum because it will prevent your hair from looking dull and dry.
What’s your favorite hair serum? Let me know in the comments section below. 🙂
I always make it a point to clean my face properly before going to bed because I hate sleeping with my makeup on. Some of the reasons why it’s advised not to sleep with your makeup on:
a) It causes the breakdown of healthy collagen, which results in fine lines on your skin.
b) Your pores get clogged.
c) It develops acne-causing bacteria on your skin. This results in more breakouts.
d) It can cause irritation and rashes on your skin.
e) It can result in blackheads and dullness of skin.
Anyway, here are some of the best ways to remove your makeup:
- Baby Wipes:
If you have sensitive or acne-prone skin, then you should consider using baby wipes to remove your makeup since it is soft and safe to use as it is mainly used for cleaning babies.
Another effective and natural way to remove your makeup is by dabbing some milk onto a cotton pad and rubbing it all over your face. In addition to that, milk also helps smooth your skin.
- Coconut Oil:
For water-resistant makeup, coconut oil is the best solution as it easily wipes off your makeup without burning or irritating your skin. You can apply it onto a cotton pad or directly apply it using your hands.
- Olive Oil:
If you have dry skin, you can make use of olive oil to remove your makeup because it has softening as well as brightening agents.
This is the best way to remove eye makeup because it slides off the mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow easily.
Make sure to clean your face with a cleanser suitable to your skin after using any of these methods. There are many cleansers available in the market for different skin types such as combination skin, dry skin, sensitive skin, oily skin, and so much more!
What do you use to remove your makeup? Let me know in the comments section below. 🙂
I usually apply a hair mask once a week, mostly during the weekends.
They’re really good for hair growth, shine, and nourishment!
There are a lot of branded hair masks available in the market, but once in a while, I prefer making my own hair mask. 🙂
Here are some of my favorite DIY Hair Masks:
- Nutritious Hair Mask:
2 tbsp coconut oil+1 tsp honey+1 tbsp mashed avocado
- Growth Hair Mask:
1 egg+1/2 cup milk+2 tbsp olive oil
- Silk Hair Mask:
1 mashed banana+2 tbsp honey
- Deep Clean Hair Mask:
1 lemon+1 cup yogurt
- Apply the hair mask on your hair.
- Keep it on for 15-20 minutes.
- Wash it off with some warm water.
- You can apply some shampoo after washing off the hair mask if you want to remove the excess smell from your hair. This is optional.
I hope you enjoy applying these nourishing hair masks!

The time for monthly favourites has arrived! Here are some of my favourite things that I bought, read, made, watched, ate and so on during the month of July.
- Burger Pizza at Domino’s:
If you’re a burger and pizza fan, you’ll surely love this item! The burger pizza is made up of two seasoned burger buns filled with pizza toppings and lots of cheese. ❤
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie because it sends out a positive message to the younger generation. If you want to check out the complete review for this movie, you can click here.
- The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson:
This book is a must-read! I had so much fun reading this book, and I would probably re-read it again in the future.
- UNE Mineral Foundation:
UNE is a natural beauty brand which offers organic makeup and skincare products. The mineral foundation is one their best-selling products as it provides the best coverage.
- Elizabeth Arden UNTOLD Perfume:
The scent of this perfume will make you feel glamorous, seriously. Plus, it comes in a beautiful bottle. It’s perfect for fancy occasions!
- Black Lace Off-shoulder Top:
I bought this top from New Look, and it looks gorgeous with a pair of white jeans. It gives you a semi-formal look which is perfect for a girls night out.
- Chocolate Cold Coffee:
This is a refreshing and delicious drink that’ll help you beat the heat. You can find the recipe here if you’d like.
- DIY Label Cords:
This is a great way to avoid tangling of electrical cords. Take few bread tags and write the names of the cords on them with a marker, and attach them to the wires.
I hope you enjoyed my July favourites!

It’s family vacation time! All the packing, rummaging through luggage bags, and check listing has inspired me to write this post. I’m going to be traveling abroad for a few weeks to spend some quality time with my family. Hence, I won’t be able to post as regularly as I do now. Don’t worry! I won’t be completely invisible. I’ll try my best to keep some time saved for blogging. 🙂
Anyhow, let’s get started with the Travel Essentials:
- Glasses/Contact Lenses
- Comb/Hair Brush
- Body Lotion
- Face Cleanser
- Makeup Bag
- Cleansing Wipes
- Shaving Cream
(If you get the above items in travel-sized packs, it’ll help you occupy less bag space, which means less weight!)
- Jeans- 2 pairs
- Shirts- 3 casual and 3 formal (This depends on the climate and occasion.)
- Dress-It’s always a good idea to pack one dress, in case there’s a formal event all of a sudden.
- Nightwear/PJ’s- 3 sets
- Sneakers- Always pack a pair of shoes as this will keep you comfortable when you’re traveling longer distances.
- Socks- 3 pairs
- Travel Journal- I like to carry my travel journal with me every time I visit a new country because it helps me capture the best moments of the trip.
- Backpack- This is much better than carrying a purse around with you everywhere you go because it holds more things and is more comfortable to carry around.
I hope you enjoyed my Travel Essentials!

I’ve got to say that June has gone by pretty quickly. Here are some of my favourite things that I bought, read, made, watched, ate and so on during the month of June.
- Chocolate Brownie Frappe at The Coffee Club:
This is literally one of the best Frappes I have ever had. It’s not too icy nor too sweet, it has the perfect texture and just the right amount of chocolate brownies which are to die for! ❤
- Finding Dory:
I’ve probably rambled too much about this movie, so I’m going to zip my mouth now, haha. Although, if you want to check out the complete review of this movie, you can click here.
- My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows:
I finished reading this book just last week, and I loved it. The story is so uniquely depicted from the P.O.V’s of three different co-authors. Now, you may think this will make the book even more confusing, but it doesn’t! I’ll try to post a review on this book soon.
- NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream:
This is one of NYX’s best lipsticks. They have 34 shades of lip creams, which are both long-lasting and moisturising. My personal favourite shade is Hot Pink.
- Intimately Beckham Perfume:
I love this perfume scent. It’s so fresh and gentle. Also, the bottle looks super sophisticated.
- Elephant Print Kimono:
I bought this Kimono from Forever 21, and it looks gorgeous with almost any piece of clothing. It’s a must have for when you’re not sure of what to wear.
- Chocolate Biscuit Cake Recipe:
I discovered this delicious recipe earlier this month. It’s one of the yummiest and simplest recipes. You can find the recipe here.
- DIY Fairy Lights Wall Decor:
This is a great idea to light up your room. You can either tape the fairy lights on the borders of your wall or mould it into your favourite word. I made the word ‘Dream’ using fairy lights and it makes my bedroom wall look so much better.
I hope you enjoyed my June favourites!
