The Mystery Blogger Award

Hi, everyone! 🙂

I’ve been nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award.

I would like to thank emiliajayne and fadedrouge for nominating me. They post great articles on their blog. Do visit both of their blogs! 😀

Answers to Emilia’s questions:
  1. What’s your hobby?
I enjoy blogging (of course), reading fictional books, painting, cooking, binge-watching TV shows, and baking!
  2. Why do you love blogging?
I love blogging because it gives me a platform where I can truly be myself and express my opinions freely without feeling judged in any way. Plus, I’ve met some amazing people here.
  3. Why did you start blogging?
Well, I was considering the idea of blogging for a very long time, but I never had the confidence to get started. But! Last year, in March, I decided that it was time I gave it a shot and overcome my fear of blogging. I’m glad that I took that decision.
  4. What’s your dream job?
I aspire to become a Marketing Director of a leading fashion company.
  5. What’s your favourite thing to do?
My favourite thing to do apart from my hobbies is to be able to bring a smile on someone’s face. 🙂
Answers to fadedrouge’s questions:
  1. Winter or Summer?
Winter! I love the dark, cloudy days.
  2. Hot chocolate or tea?
    Hot chocolate for the win.
  3. Earphones or headphones?
I prefer headphones because my ears hurt when I listen to music using earphones. Plus, headphones erase all the background noise. 😉
  4. 3 things you would take to a deserted island. (A person does not count!)
That’s is a hard question to answer, haha. Well, I do need clothes, food, and water to survive…Apart from the obvious, I guess I would take my laptop, pillow, and a book.
  5. Short or long hair?
I’ve always had long hair, but I guess it would be nice to try out short hair.
  1. What’s your best quality?
  2. What’s your worst quality?
  3. What’s the best excuse that you’ve ever made to get out of a meeting/event/party?
  4. Would you rather have the ability to become invisible or have an invincible strength?
  5. Are you fond of pets?

I nominate everyone! Feel free to post a link to your answers in the comments section below. 😀

The Sunshine Blogger Award-Part 3

Hi, everyone! 🙂

I’ve been nominated yet again for the Sunshine Blogger Award.

Many thanks to
Renate @popcornandfilm for nominating me! She posts great stuff about movies, tv shows, and so much more. Do visit her blog! 😀

Let’s get started!

  1. If you could live in any country, which one would it be?

I would love to live in England, London to be specific. There’s something about this city that makes me feel happy.

  2. Which movie are you most looking forward to watching at the cinema this year?

So many of them! Some of the movies that I’m really excited for are…
    a) Beauty and the Beast
    b) Logan
    c) Wonder Woman

  3. If you could discuss one movie with a producer or actor, who would it be and which movie would you discuss?

I would discuss a movie with Lauren Graham! I’m not sure of the movie, but we’d definitely discuss a movie from the comedy genre because she’s got a lively and witty personality.

  4. In which Hogwarts house do you belong?

  5. Which is your favorite TV-Show atm?

The Flash! I am definitely hooked, haha.

  6. If you could write a book about yourself, what would the title be?

That’s a great question. Given the opportunity, I would love to write a book about myself. I’m pretty sure the title would be something unexpected, but I can’t think of anything right now. (This is what lack of sleep does to your brain…)

  7.  If you could go back to the past and change something in your life, what would it be? (but be warned that changing history can be very dangerous)

I love how you’ve inserted a warning there, haha. Well, I would definitely erase all the mistakes I’ve made in life. Undoubtedly, we all make mistakes and that’s what makes life so interesting, but there remains a sense of regret of not being able to make things right.

  8. Would you rather go to HogwartsXavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters or Starfleet Academy?

    Hogwarts for life!

  9. Best thing that will happen in 2017?

    Increasing my productivity levels!

  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  3. Take a large bowl and add the sliced potatoes. Pour the olive oil and add a dash of oregano and basil.
  4. Add the salt and crushed black pepper to the mixture.
  5. Toss the potatoes and mix-ins until all the ingredients have been combined properly.

Organizing Scarves

I love wearing scarves because they can make anything look stylish and classy, but the only problem is organizing them. Here are some of the most practical ways to organize your scarves:

The pivoting scarf organizer has to be attached inside your cupboard. It comes with several rods on which you can hang your scarves. This method allows you to easily pick the scarf of your choice.

This is personally my favourite way of hanging scarves because it’s easy, smart, and cheap! All you have to do is double fold your scarves and pass them through the circles. If you have a big collection of scarves, then using a circle hanger is a good option.

If you own few scarves, then using compartment drawers may be a good idea. Just roll up your scarves and arrange them by color.

How do you organize your scarves? Let me know in the comments section below. 🙂

ARC Review: Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger

Source: NetGalley

Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire

Release Date: June 1, 2017

Synopsis (Goodreads):

Tessa Hart’s world feels very small. Confined to her bedroom with agoraphobia, her one escape is the online fandom for pop sensation Eric Thorn. When he tweets to his fans, it’s like his speaking directly to her…
Eric Thorn is frightened by his obsessive fans. They take their devotion way too far. It doesn’t help that his PR team keeps posting to encourage their fantasies.
When a fellow pop star is murdered at the hands of a fan, Eric knows he has to do something to shatter his online image fast—like take down one of his top Twitter followers. But Eric’s plan to troll @TessaHeartsEric unexpectedly evolves into an online relationship deeper than either could have imagined. And when the two arrange to meet IRL, what should have made for the world’s best episode of Catfish takes a deadly turn…
Told through tweets, direct messages, and police transcripts, Follow Me Back is the first book of a new duology. Written for the online generation, this thriller will keep you guessing right up to the shocking end.

Rating (Goodreads): 4.3 stars/5

The plot of this story was unique and very different from the books I usually read. What I loved most about the plot is that it was filled with suspense and mystery which motivated me to read more and more until I found out what truly happened. With every chapter, the tension kept increasing and with it, the excitement and thrill doubled. The main characters, Tessa and Eric, were portrayed in a very realistic manner. I also liked the way the tweets were shown because it showed how connected they were while being apart from each other. This may seem weird, but I actually enjoyed reading the police transcripts that were in between some chapters. Apart from being mysterious, the book also had an edge of romance in it which was okay, but I didn’t quite enjoy it as much as the element of suspense. Also, I think the book tries to convey the message of being conscious when one uses any sort of social media. Overall, the book was a good read and I would recommend it to readers who are looking for something new and exciting!

My favourite quote from the book:

“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.”

Thanks to Sourcebooks Fire and NetGalley for the ARC of Follow Me Back in exchange for an honest review.

What’s Your Skin Type?

A skin type is determined by the overall texture and appearance of one’s skin. There are different types of skin and one of the main reasons you should know your skin type is because it will help you choose the right products for your skin. Here are some of the common skin types:

  1. Normal Skin:

This type of skin isn’t too oily nor too dry and is not very sensitive. In this case, you have barely visible pores, fairly smooth and glowing skin. For this type of skin, you can use products that are labelled ‘For all types of skin’.

  2. Oily Skin:

This type of skin tends to become oily and greasy, especially around your nose, cheeks, and forehead. Your face tends to produce more oil than necessary which can produce more blackheads and pimples. For this type of skin, it’s best to use products that have an oil eliminating and cleansing property.

  3. Dry Skin:

In this case, your skin tends to dry up very quickly and doesn’t maintain the necessary amount of oil which tends to make your skin rough and dull. Your skin also tends to become flaky and itchy from time to time. For this type of skin, it’s best to use products that have a moisturizing property.

  4. Sensitive Skin:

If your skin is prone to allergies, acne, and other rashes, then you’ve got a sensitive skin. You have to be extremely careful of the products you use or else there may be negative effects. For this type of skin, it’s best to stick to natural and organic products because they contain less chemicals.

  5. Combination Skin:

If you have a mix of oily and normal skin types, then you’ve got a combination skin. Your T-zone (Forehead, nose, and chin) tends to produce more oil than the rest of your face which makes your face look shiny. Since I have this type of skin, I’ve realized that it’s best to use products that are specially designed for combination skin, especially when it comes to cleansers and toners.

I hope you found this post useful!

Signs You’re An Overthinker

I would be lying if I said that I don’t overthink anything because I do it A LOT. Here are some of the signs you’re an overthinker:

  1. You think twice before sending a message:

  2. You make a normal situation super difficult:

  3. You complicate things in your head:

  4. You take time to let go of things:

  5. You always/mostly imagine the worst case scenario:

  6. It drives you crazy when you’re not able to figure out something:

  7. You over-analyze people’s actions:

Oh, well…I hope I’m not the only one who checked off all the facts on the list. In fact, one of my new year’s resolution is to reduce the amount of overthinking I do because I’ve realized that overthinking causes unnecessary stress. Also, it makes you think more about life than actually living life to the fullest!

Are you an overthinker? Share your thoughts with me in the comments section below. 🙂
