3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge: Day 3

I’m not going to lie, choosing only three of my favorite quotes has been quite challenging for me.

Since it’s my last day of doing the challenge, I’ve saved the best quote for the last!
Today’s Quote:

Why I love this quote?
We all have dreams that we want to achieve sooner or later in life. While some people keep dreaming, others take a step forward to turn their dreams into reality. Diligence, perseverance, and commitment is all you need to achieve your dreams. It may not necessarily be as big as someone else’s dream, but it is as important as any other dream. Never underestimate the power of your mind, it can do wonders! There are many examples of famous as well as ordinary people who have gone a long way to come where they are today. Consider your favorite idol’s journey, it wasn’t smooth, was it?
I won’t hide the fact that there will be many ups and downs while you’re on your way to making your dreams come true, but in the end, it will all be worth it! 😀

As I said earlier, if you’re interested in doing the challenge, feel free to let me know in the comments section below.

3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge: Day 2

Today’s Quote:

Why I love this Quote?
“You should talk more!” “You seem bored.”
It’s not uncommon for us introverts to hear such statements. Most people consider introverts or quiet people to be a drab. But, we’re not that boring! The thing is, most of the time, we’re preoccupied with anxious thoughts flooding in our brain. Hence, we don’t interact much with the people around us because we’re afraid that we might say something awkward. We prefer thinking rather than speaking ourselves out, and that’s perfectly okay. We also have control over what we speak, thank god for that. Moreover, I’ve noticed that a lot of quiet people are either very creative or logical. When it comes to socialising, quiet people prefer deep conversations over small talk. Remember, even if we’re quiet, we’re silently observing every move that you make, haha. 😉

The Blogger Recognition Award

Hi, everyone! 🙂

I’ve been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award.

Before I start, I would like to thank Sadaptation for nominating me. You should visit her blog because she posts some pretty creative and interesting articles. 😀

  1. Write a post to show your award.
  2. Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you.
  3. Give a brief story of how you started your blog.
  4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  5. Nominate 15 bloggers who deserve the award.

How did I start my blog?

Well, to be honest, it was a decision that I made after a lot of self-debate. Even though I had an interest in blogging, there was something holding me back and that something was fear. I was confused, to say the least. I kept asking myself questions like:
Where should I start?
What should I write about?
Will people like my blog? and so on.
Sooner or later, I realized that I had to stop being such a wimp and just go for it. Maybe, it was my sudden surge of confidence that motivated me to start ‘The Jouska’ blog. I’m glad that I made that choice because I really enjoy being in the blogging community now. Also, I’m not very chatty in the real world, so having a blog gives me a way to express myself freely without any judgement.

My advice to new bloggers:

  1. Never be afraid of the outcome:
I know it’s hard to start something you’ve never done before. It’s scary. However, when it comes to blogging, don’t be afraid of what others think of your blog. You are the creator of your blog and there’s no one to stop you. Maybe your blog won’t do very well in the initial stage, but trust me, it will get better with time. Anyway, my point is, fear is your worst enemy so don’t let that get to you. Don’t think about what other people have to say, always be confident and sure of what you do.
  2. Be consistent:
Always make it a point to post as regularly as possible. If it’s difficult for you to post something new every day, then follow a consistent timetable. I’ve seen bloggers come and go because they get bored of their blog and end up deleting it. Remember one thing, your hard work will pay-off in the end. 🙂

*Drum Roll Please* I would like to nominate the following bloggers:

I hope that my piece of advice helps you find your way in the blogging community.
Congrats to all the nominees! I’m looking forward to reading your answers.

Are Taking Decisions Important?

Why is it so important to take decisions in life? I keep asking myself this question every day.

I used to hate taking decisions and making life choices. I feared them. I was scared that if I decided to do something and it didn’t work out as planned, then I’d be doomed.
Whether it was deciding which college to go to, which major, which career, which country and so on. It was always my parents who did everything for me when I was younger. I was under the impression that they would always take every decision, every choice, and every step for me.

But, I was wrong. Sooner or later I realized that taking decisions are an essential part of our lives. Now that I’ve grown up, I have to make these life choices on my own. It may seem scary at first but it’s true. It’s important for us to understand the importance of moving on in life. Life is never stagnant, people never wait, and opportunities never return again. We must be bold enough to decide what’s right for us because we are responsible for ourselves.

Don’t be afraid of the outcomes. You may go wrong, but it won’t kill you to try.
The worst case scenario: You’ll regret it for the rest of your life, but at least you tried! Also, you won’t know if it is the right decision until you try. Always remember one thing, be confident in what you do.

I hope my little piece of advice will help you overcome your fear of taking decisions in life. Start small and you’ll end up taking major decisions in no time! 🙂
