Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot who tells her about the massive conflict that’s raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.
I have always been a fan of movies wherein women are portrayed as strong, confident, and self-sufficient beings. Wonder Woman being one such movie has made millions of people across the world believe that good always wins over evil. The emotions I felt while watching the movie were confusing, to say the least. One moment, I was excited and the next, I was anxious. The plot of the story reminded me of a fairytale as it progresses from a small, protective place to an intense, war-driven area. In fact, the storyline flowed smoothly from one scene to the next which made me even more excited about what was about to happen in the very next moment. Moving on to the cast, I was amazed at how well the actors played out their roles. From Gal Gadot to Chris Pine to Connie Nielsen, everyone seemed so realistic in their character. What I loved most about the movie was that it had a lot of action mixed with a pinch of humor and romance. Let’s not forget the ending (not going to be very specific in light of those who haven’t watched the movie yet) which broke my heart into little pieces. All in all, I salute Patty Jenkins for the immense effort that she has put in to make this movie a huge success!
- Believe in yourselfWonder Woman’s self-belief is something I can learn from. She believes that she has the power to make things right.
- Never be afraid to take risks
Inevitably, we are all afraid to take chances in life. However, from the various characters in this movie, I’ve learned that taking risks will only get you farther in life. Even if things don’t go as planned, learn from your mistakes.
- Fight for what you believe is right
If you have a gut feeling that your intentions are good and that you can make a difference in this world, go for it!
